Napa Cookie Company provides the missing ingredient to the wine tasting experience. Founder Melissa Teaff set out to develop the perfect small bite of food that would pair magically with the area’s world-famous red wines. After numerous testing and tasting trials, Melissa and her team found the ideal combination of sweet, salt and savory—the Wine Snap.

Their distinctive creation was showcased at the 2009 Napa Valley Wine Auction to overwhelmingly positive response. “Watching people try our Wine Snaps makes us incredibly happy,” says Melissa. “Seeing their eyes open in surprise and watching a smile spread across their face—that’s what the Wine Snap does.”

With the encouragement of the wine community, Melissa set out to bring the cookie to a wider market, establishing the Napa Cookie Company as an offshoot of her successful Napa-based catering business, Melissa Teaff Catering. With 30 years experience hosting and catering award-winning events at wineries and wine-related venues throughout the Napa Valley and greater San Francisco Bay area, Melissa saw first-hand the need and desire for such a product.
